Posted: Sun, Sep 30, 2012 9:30 PM

St. Benedict School's annual Can Mountain collection will take place this week Monday through through Friday at the school.  All money earned from this week long event will be donated to Habitat for Humanity in order to build more houses.

The community is welcome to contribute refundable cans and refundable plastic bottles (No glass please).  Donations of cans and bottles should already be counted and bagged.  If the count should be designated to a specific St. Benedict student, please also mark the student's name on the bag.  Bags of cans and bottles may be left near the school flagpole.

Last year, St. Benedict School collected 44, 288 cans.  Since 1999 it has collected a total of 470,823 cans.  This marks the 17th year the school has collected cans for Habitat for Humanity.
