Fun is coming to Luther College.
That's officially fun. (with a period), an indie rock band best known for their hit singles "We Are Young" and "Some Nights".
The Luther College Student Activities Council concert is scheduled for 7:00 p.m. Saturday, November 17th, at the Regents Center. Tickets to the concert will go on sale to the general public beginning Thursday, September 20th. Tickets are $31, available at the Luther Box Office.
"We Are Young" reached number one on the U.S. Billboard Hot 100 and Digital Songs charts, becoming the first alternative song to top the Billboard Hot 100 chart since Coldplay's "Viva la Vida" in 2008.
"Some Nights" was released as the album's second single in May 2012, peaking at number 5 on the Hot 100 chart, and becoming their second Top 10 single, as well as their second song to reach platinum status in the USA.
Fun.'s visit to Luther will be part of their Fall 2012 Campus Consciousness Tour. The tour is focused on mobilizing college students to actively support LGBTQ equality. For more information about Fun., visit their website www.ournameisfun.com
