Dieseth Hall resident arrested on attempted burglary charges

20-year-old Daniel Mendoza, a Luther College student, has been arrested on charges of attempted burglary in the 2nd degree.

Decorah POlice were called to 5th Avenue Saturday night by multiple people who reported a man jumping on the hood of a moving car and then attempting to break into at least two homes.

When police arrive,d the suspect fled on foot, but was caught after a brief chase.

Mendoza was taken into custody and jailed on the attempted burglary charges.
