This is Constitution Week

This is Constitution Week.  The Hannah Lee Chapter of the Daughters of the American Revolution, which serves Northeast Iowa, is taking part in the observance.  DAR members will be asking mayors from throughout Northeast Iowa to sign a Constitution Week proclamation.

The aims of this week's celebration are to emphasize citizens' responsibilities for protecting and defending the Constitution; to inform people that the Constitution is the foundation for our way of life; and to encourage the study of the events which led to the framing of the Constitution in September 1787.
