Construction accident on Highway 52 south of Decorah injures a Viroqua, Wisconsin man

23-year-old Jeremiah Hatfield of Viroqua, Wisconsin was injured Wednesday while working at a road construction site on Highway 52 south of Decorah.

The Winneshiek County Sheriff's Department says Hatfield was helping to unload fresh asphalt from a truck when the trailer tire roller over his foot.

Hatfield was taken by ambulance to the Winneshiek Medical Center.

The Winneshiek County Sheriff's Department was assisted by the First Responders and by the Decorah Police Department.
