Luther College solar panel project is now complete

Luther College's new solar panel farm has passed an important hurdle.  Alliant Energy has inspected the 280 kilowatt solar photovoltaic array and given its final approval for interconnection with the local power grid.

That means the solar panel farm can now begin supplying power to Baker Village.  The system is currently the largest in Iowa.  When it begins full operation it will make Baker Village the largest net zero emitter of greenhouse gas emissions in the state.
