Girl Scout school supply drive is a success

Decorah area Girl Scout Troop 253 collected enough school supplies to help 76 families this fall.  The school supplies were given to the Northeast Iowa Community Action Corporation, which gave them to local families in need..

Donation boxes were set up at Fareway, Donlons and Family Table, in addition to at local banks and churches.

In addition to the school supplies that were collected, the Girl Scouts received a donation of over $100 from Bank of The West employees to be used in buying additional school supplies.
