The body of an 83-year-old man from Zearing, Iowa has been recovered from water near the Highlandville Campground.
The Winneshiek County Sheriff's Department says the man, whose name has not yet been released, left the campsite on Friday to go fishing and had not been seen for about an hour.
A search discovered the body of the man, who was in the water and unresponsive. The man was taken to Winneshiek Medical Center and later transported to the State of Iowa Department of Criminal Investigation Lab for an autopsy to determine the cause of death.
The Sheriff's Department says the death appears to be accidental.
