Luther College is welcoming the Class of 2016 to campus. This year's enrollment at the school has met the goals set by the school. 644 first year students are enrolling, as are 36 transfer students.
Said Luther College President Torgerson in his "State of the College" speech, "It was indeed a good year for Admissions."
Minnesota remains the leading state in number of new students. This year's class includes more new students from Iowa, Wisconsin and particularly Illinois. It also includes students from 25 foreign countries, as well as 39 class valedictorians.
President Torgerson has urged the Luther staff to "support the Admissions team to enroll 688 new students in Fall 2013. Three successive years with that kind of yield does start a trend line that reflects favorably on this place."
