Ask Mr. Answer Person: "Can you provide us with any information about road construction on HIghway 52?"

Pam e-mails: "Is Mr. Answer Person able to provide any information about the plans for the Highway 52 construction project between Decorah and Calmar, especially as it relates to traffic flow and traffic delays we should expect in the next few weeks?"

Mr. Answer Person says: "You're a little too optimistic when you talk in terms of "the next few weeks."  The Iowa Department of Transportation says road crews could be at work on the highway through the end of September. 

As you probably already know, one lane of the highway has been closed at time, with flaggers directing traffic and pilot cars leading cars and trucks through the construction zone. 

The road project runs from Calmar to Decorah and is causing traffic delays from 7:00 in the morning through 8:00 at night on weekdays.

So be patient!  Or, if you can't be patient, look for other routes to where you are going!
