Gehling will NOT seek re-election to the hospital board

There will be two new people on the Winneshiek Medical Center Board of Trustees after the November election.  Current board member Dave Gehling tells decorahnews.com he has decided NOT to seek re-election.

Gehling says there are a number of qualified candidates who have already filed papers to run for the hospital board and his commitments to his family and to his business have to come before the time demands of serving on the hospital board.

So far, Karl Jacobsen, Jim Tweedy, Steve Hildebrand and Dave Kratz have filed nomination papers to run for the hospital board.  The top two vote getters will be elected to the board.  The deadline for other candidates to file nomination papers is 4:00 p.m. today (Wednesday).
