Family Care Clinic opens sleep evaluation program

The region's first clinic-based sleep evaluation program has opened at the Family Care Clinic in Decorah.

The clinic is partnering with Precision Diagnostic Services, a nationally-recognized leader in sleep evaluation.  PDS CEO Jon Swegarden says, "We combine a team approach with the latest technology to create a quality, cost effective sleep program."

Because clinic-based sleep studies take place in a non-hospital setting, they are less costly and less intimidating for the patient, with the same excellent technology for evaluation.

The Family Care Clinic is also offering home monitor testing, making it possible for early evaluation and quick results in a "real time" manner.

Physician's Assistant Marcy Fadness has developed a strong expertise in sleep evaluation and treatment, so when the Family Care Clinic opened in its new location on Short Street and had more space, the sleep program was started.

The Family Care Clinic also was selected as one of the 2012 Biz Booster Grant recipients from Winneshiek County Development for the clinic's sleep program.
