New press box at Viking Stadium will be dedicated Friday

The new Kenneth L. Olson Press Box at Viking Stadium will be officially dedicated on Friday prior to Decorah High School's varsity football game with Waverly-Shell Rock.

Construction of the press box began in June and will be completed this week in preparation for Decorah's first home football game.  The structure is a result of a gift from the family of the late Kenneth L. Olson who was a 1949 Decorah High School graduate and a long time Viking athletics supporter.

Decorah High School and Decorah Community Schools is thanking the Olson family and the work of Danny Meyer of Dan Meyer Builders, Dave Sacquitne of Kirkeby Welding, Joel Teslow of Decorah Electric, Gary Hubka of Hubka Construction, Brian Peterson of Letterwerks Sign City, and Jim and Rusty Kephart of Kepharts Music Center.
