NICC Board approves Calmar campus project and new Calmar food service contract

The Northeast Iowa Community College board has approved renovations to the Dairy Center on the Calmar campus.

The project will create laboratories for the new Large Animal Veterinary Technician program and for advanced science courses.

The NICC Board awarded a contract for the project to low bidder Dave's Complete Construction, Inc. of Delhi, at a cost of $208,639.  Renovations will begin in September and are expected to be finished by the end of the fall 2012 term. 

Also Monday,  the board approved a three-year contract with Treat America to provide cafeteria, vending and catering services for the NICC Calmar campus starting immediately.
