Ask Mr. Answer Person: A reader asks about air conditioning in the schools

"Dear Mr. School Answer Person:  It appears we won't have any hot weather (immediately) for the start of school in Decorah.  But the start of school has me thinking about how sometimes classes get dismissed early because the school buildings get so hot during a heat wave.  Here's my questionâ€"which Decorah school buildings now have air conditioningâ€"and which ones don't?"

Mr. Answer Person says: West Side, John Cline, and selected parts of the high school (until remodel is completed) are the non air conditioned buildings. One of the next big debates for the School Board is related to air conditioning for John Cline and what kind of renovation dominoes may fall if that is attempted. Our story earlier this week discussed the future of John Cline.

Carrie Lee was air conditioned when it was remodeled.  Air conditioning was built into Decorah Middle School.
