"Green Iowa AmeriCorps looks to fill fall positions in Winneshiek, Black Hawk, Linn, Dubuque and Dickinson counties"

Green Iowa AmeriCorps, based at the University of Northern Iowa's Center for Energy & Environmental Education, is seeking individuals with an interest in facilitating energy conservation efforts for Iowa residents.

Ten-month member positions are available in Decorah, Cedar Falls, Cedar Rapids, Spirit Lake and Dubuque beginning September 11, 2012. Program Director Ashley Wolter says, "Members will build management skills through specific team leader roles. Duties include home weatherization, facilitating energy education programs and participating in community outreach projects. Team members will also plan and oversee a Volunteer Generating Project (VGP) throughout their service terms and have the opportunity to attend several trainings applicable to today's green job market."
