NICC is offering several community outreach classes in Decorah this fall.

"Pilates 101" (#13538) will be held from 6:00 p.m. until 7:30 p.m. Tuesdays from September 4th through October 23rd at Discover Happy in downtown Decorah.  Certified Pilates instructor Amanda Rhine will help participants build strength, flexibility and mindfulness within a supportive environment.

"Russian Cooking with Nikolai" (#13539) will be offered on Sunday, September 7th, from 6:00 p.m. until 9:00 p.m. at the home of Sue Sander at 602 Decorah Avenue.  Discover ways to cook Russian cuisine from a native, Chef Nikolai. Nikolai will share his extensive knowledge in this specialized fare, and attendees will have the opportunity to taste his prepared salads, entrees and other treats.

The class "Wire Wrapped Rings" (#13495) is scheduled for Monday, September 8th, from 6:30 p.m. until 8 p.m., also at the Sander home at 602 Decorah Avenue. Those who attend will create two beautiful wire-wrapped rings for wearing on their hands. Students will use a mandrel to create and size the rings, and learn to apply wire, crystals and semi-precious stones to express one's personal style.

Back by popular demand is "Social Dancing: Ballroom & Beyond" (#13457). Join Renate Hunter as she begins her 28th year of teaching foxtrot, waltz, polka, schottische, rhumba, jitterbug and more. The class will be held at John Cline Elementary School.
