Yes, there is a football game against Vinton-Shellsburg

A computer program error falsely sent out announcements on Thursday that Decorah High School's varsity football game against Vinton-Shellsburg on Friday, September 28th, had been cancelled.  Decorah HS officials say the game is still scheduled to be played.

The issue started when Vinton-Shellsburg announced that its 10th grade football game against Decorah on September 28th had to be cancelled because the school could not field enough 10th grade football players.  That meant that the 9th grade football game against Decorah, which had been scheduled for 5:00 p.m. Thursday, September 27th, would be moved to Decorah instead.

But the computer software program had a glitch and also posted that the varsity football game was being cancelled.  That is NOT the case--the game will be played as scheduled at 730 p.m. Friday, September 28th.
