Aase Haugen Home resident gets an art show at The Spectrum Network

Aase Haugen Homes resident Lester Duff has discovered a new pursuit at the age of 87.  He has recently taken to drawing with magic markers, using full size drawing paper, post it notes or any paper he can find.

Lester's art work is on display the entire month of August at The Spectrum Network in Decorah.  The show, which is open Monday through Friday from 8:00 a.m. until 4:30 p.m., is free and open to the public

Lester discovered drawing when he began doodling with markers during an activity with Sara Nottestad, an activity aide at Aase Haugen Homes.  Over time and with Sara's encouragement, his drawings became collages of his memories.
