ArtHaus, downtown Decorah's home for the arts, has released its Fall 2012 Calendar of Classes and Events.
Now in its fifth year, ArtHaus offers classes and workshops for children, teens, and adults in painting and drawing, clay, ballet and tap, acting, music, language arts like Spanish and American Sign Language, sewing, basket making, photography, jewelry making, creative writing and more.
"We release a calendar of classes and events three times a year," says founding co-director Kristen Underwood. "We always try to bring back classes that have been popular in the past, and also make sure we're offering new things we've never tried. Our classes are always taught by professional teaching artists to ensure high quality. And thanks to support from the McElroy Trust, the Depot Outlet, and Friends of ArtHaus, we're able to offer tuition assistance which means ArtHaus classes are truly accessible to everyone."
Calendars are available at ArtHaus, the Oneota Community Co-op, Decorah Public Library, and other downtown Decorah locations, as well as online at arthausdecorah.org.
Online registration is available through the website, or by stopping by ArtHaus on Monday, Wednesday or Friday from 10am-noon. For more information, contact co-directors Kristen Underwood and Lea Lovelace at 563-382-5440 or arthaus508@gmail.com.
