Pulpit Rock Campground has expanded

The City of Decorah's Pulpit Rock Campground has expanded.

A new tent area over by The Cut on the Twin Springs side of the campground is now in operation.  The area is for use of tent camping only.  It is in addition to the tent camping spaces near the Upper Iowa River on the Pulpit Rock side of the campground.

Campground Superintendent Sue Macal says the Pulpit Rock tent spaces had been filling up, as they did over the weekend.  That meant the campground had to turn away business.

The new tent space has room for a total of 11 tents.  Tent spaces cost $13 per night, as they do on the other side of the campground.
