"Fest Nest" is now open!

Opening Ceremonies Thursday night officially opened the 2012 Nordic Fest, "Return to the nest for the 46th fest."

The Nordic Dancers, Angel the eagle, the Alaskan String Band, The Bread and Butter String Band, Luren Singers, and Norwegian trumpet player Kai Johnson entertained the large crowd in perfect weather conditions.

Bob Anderson, executive director of the Raptor Resource Project was officially recognized as Nordic Fest Parade Grand Marshal. Tim and Mary Kay Lynch were recognized as Flag Recipients for long time efforts in making an impact on Nordic Fest. Award recipients were presented a rosemaled Norwegian plate.

Programs for the fest are readily available for $2.
