New CEO of Winneshiek Medical Center begins next week

The new Chief Administrative Officer for Winneshiek Medical Center, Gretchen Dahlen, will begin work next Monday.
 
Dahlen has been serving as Chief Executive Officer for North Woods Community Health Clinic in Hayward, Wisconsin.  She was formerly president and chief executive officer of Meriter Health Enterprises, and held various vice president and chief operating officer positions with Meriter Health Services and Madison General Hospital.
 
But Dahlen is also emphasizing the fact that she is a native of Mabel, Minnesota and attended Dorian Keyboard festivals starting at the age of 7.
 
She says she is "100 percent Norwegian" and jokes that she's looking forward to visiting the Whippy Dip again.
