Police respond to public intoxication and theft incidents over weekend

Decorah Police responded to a call regarding theft of four cases of beer from Walmart on Saturday afternoon. Callers identified the vehicle of the suspects and they were arrested at the Walmart McDonalds. Tanner Ray Munkel and Kaleb Langreck, both 20 of Cresco, were arrested and taken into custody, charged with 5th degree theft and public intoxication.

In another incident early Saturday morning, police responded to a report of a man screaming in the West Water Street Alley. They investigated and took John Charles Daniels, 46, of Decorah, into custody on public intoxication charges.
