Decorah swimming pool usage is far ahead of last year

The hot and dry weather we've been having is a problem for farmers, but it's growing a bumper crop of swimmers at the Decorah Municipal Swimming Pool.

Through Tuesday the swimming pool was just seven admissions short of 24,000 admissions for the season.  That was nearly 5,000 more admissions than in the same time period last year.  The daily average admission has been 453, while at this time last year it was 389.  The admission figures do not include all the kids in swimming lessons, swim team, or pool parties.

Concludes swimming pool manager Kerry Johnson, "It's been a VERY good year for the Decorah pool."
