$50,000 donation will allow monitoring of local hospice patients

A $50,000 donation by an undisclosed Winneshiek County resident will allow the Winneshiek Hospice to purchase 15 technologically advanced monitoring machines for hospice patients.

The machines will allow remote monitoring of patient vital signs like blood pressures, glucose levels and others.  The machines will be used first for hospice patients but will also be used for home health patients if not needed at the time by hospice patients.
