State Climatologist Harry Hillaker says last week was the driest week in Iowa since early February.
Hillaker says "there was no widespread rain during the week." The greatest rain amount reported was 1.72 inches near Delmar in Clinton County, but most of Iowa saw no rain at all. The statewide average precipitation was 0.02 inch. The normal rainfall for the week is 1.07 inches. That made last week Iowa's driest week in 21 weeks.
