Kephart's is closing its Mason City store

Kephart's Music Center will be closing its Mason City store on August 31st.

The move will not affect music students in North Iowa, however--Kephart's will continue to service the Mason City area and surrounding schools.  Rather, a growing percentage of the company's retail business now is done online, so a retail store is no longer needed.  Kephart's lease on the Mason City building ends on August 31st, so company officiuals decided not to renew the lease.  The Kephart's Music Center stores in Decorah and Dubuque will remain open, however.
