Updated information about weekend traffic accident

(On Monday, decorahnews.com erroneously reported that there were no injuries in a Sunday accident involving a minibike.  In fact, the 14-year-old driver had to be hospitalized.  Here is in updated story):

At 1:15 p.m. Sunday 31-year-old Eli Johnson of Decorah was driving in the gravel alley near the CJ Lensing parking lot and Winneshiek Mutual Insurance when a minibike drove directly into the path of the car.  The 14-year-old girl was ejected from the minibike and landed approximately 16 feet from the point of impact.

The girl was taken by ambulance to Winneshiek Medical Center, then transferred to Gundersen Lutheran Hospital in La Crosse, where she has had surgery to put a pin in her leg.
