Ask Mr. Answer Dude: "Is the gazebo project finished?"

Mike e-mails Mr. Answer Dude: "Is the gazebo project completed (at Water Street Park)?  I heard they were still looking for donations and I did not see any plaques there listing anyone who had already donated. 

Mr. Answer Person swears this is an actual e-mail that he did not make up.  Mike's timing is great because Mr. Answer Person was at a Downtown Decorah Betterment meeting Wednesday and can answer this question promptly.

The Water Street Park is about 95 percent finished, with only a few minor touches left, such as planting plans between the two walls at the back of the park.  The downtown group is aiming to complete these final touches in time for Nordic Fest.

One final touch won't be ready by Nordic Fest and that's the plaques listing donors.  A committee is working to try to get the exact wording and to double check the spelling of names.  Plaques might take until fall to install.
