A Decorah man has had his short documentary accepted for showing at the Iowa Independent Film Festival in Clear Lake July 13-15.
Kyrl Henderson produced a 3.5 minute short documentary called "Hand Me Downs," shot in part while riding in a garbage truck. The idea for the documentary came from Amy Helgeson, a woman who drives a garbage truck and a recycling truck and asked the question "What the hell are these people who don't recycle thinking? That the land fill is a bottomless pit? What are we leaving our children?"
The film is the only short documentary that will be shown at the festival.
