Funeral services will be held Monday for Sgt. Bradley Foreman, who completed a tour of duty in Afghanistan earlier this year with the 322nd Engineer Company of Decorah, only to learn he had liver cancer just days after returning from his deployment.
Services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Monday at the L. J. Griffin Funeral Home in Canton, Michigan. The 41-year-old Foreman leaves behind a wife and two children.
Despite having cancer, Foreman made the trip from Michigan to be with the 322nd Engineering Company soldiers in Decorah just two weeks ago.
Foreman told decorahnews.com the reception he got in Decorah was "overwhelming" and "humbling."
Contributions to help Foreman's family with medical expenses are still being accepted at Brad Foreman Benefit, c/o Decorah Bank and Trust, 202 E. Water St., Decorah, IA 52101.
