Neighborhood group drops its rezoning request

Neighbors of the River Walk subdivision in Decorah have dropped their request to have the property rezoned to R2 residential.

Attorney Karl Knutson, who represents the group, took the action after City Administrator Chad Bird gave an opinion that such a rezoning would create problems, since condominiums are not allowed in R2 districts and there are several current condominiums on the property,
