Man thrown from his horse, hospitalized

A rural Cresco man was injured Sunday night when he was thrown from the hourse he was riding in his field.
Dean Quandahl of 3008 Pole Line Road of rural Cresco was taken to the Howard County Hospital and then airlifted by the Mayo One helicopter to St. Mary's Hospital in Rochester.
Winneshiek County Sheriff's Deputies responded to the call. They were assisted by the Howard County Ambulance, Howard County First Responders, Cresco Fire Department, Winneshiek County First Responders and Iowa State Patrol.
