Two injured in ATV accident

Winneshiek County Sheriff's Deputies responded Saturday to a report of an ATV rollover on 240th Street approximately 2.5 miles west of Highway W-14.

Deputies say a Nashua, Iowa man, Matthew Nosbisch, was traveling east on the road when he lost control of the ATV and it rolled over, injuring Nosbisch and his wife, Erin Nosbisch.

Matthew Nosbisch was taken to Howard County Hospital and then airlifted to St. Mary's Hospital in Rochester.  Erin Nosbisch was taken to Winneshiek Medical Center and then airlifted to Gundersen Lutheran Hospital in La Crosse.

The accident remains under investigation.  Sheriff's deputies were assisted by the Decorah Ambulance, Decorah Paramedics and First Responders, Howard County Ambulance, Howard County Paramedics and First Responders and the Cresco Police Department.
