East Side School materials are on sale

Volunteers prepare East Side School materials for resale

Sales of East Side School masonry materials will be taking place all this week at the Luther College site storage site on Pole Line Road.

The sale will run from 10:00 a.m. until noon Monday through Saturday, June 11th through the 16th.

Hard fired exterior whole and half bricks, soft Decorah kilned whole and half bricks are available, along with a large quantity of native Platteville limestone that was part of the underground foundation of the school.

A very limited number of irregular pieces of the Kasota Minnesota quarried limestone from the above ground foundation of the former Decorah East Side School, along with a few clay tiles, single and double wide, are available.

The sale will be held on Pole Line Road across from the Luther College farm and gardens, three tenths of a mile west of Highway 52.
