Hospital loses money in April

Posted: Wed, Jun 6, 2012 8:28 PM

Winneshiek Medical Center had an operating loss of $397,452 in April.  For the first ten months of the hospital's 2011-2012 fiscal year, the hospital has had an operating loss of $517,972.

Non-operating revenues have contributed $537,000 to the hospital's bottom line, so it has a net gain of $19,287 for the fiscal year.  Chief Financial Officer Lynn Luloff says May revenues should be stronger for the hospital, but June and July are typically lower than average months for the hospital.
