Porter House Museum is now open for the season

The Porter House Museum is now open for the season.  The museum is located at 401 West Broadway Street in Decorah.

Tours of the house, its natural history collection and its unique rock wall are now available every day this summer: from 10:00 a.m. until 4:00 p.m. Mondays through Saturdays and from 1:00 p.m. until 4:00 p.m. Sundays and holidays. 

Admission is $5 for adults $4 for seniors over 65, and $3 for kids from 6 to 16.  Kids under 6 are free with adult. 

Take a look inside one of Decorah's great historic landmarks and learn about the Porters who were environmentally saavy and passionately interested in natural history way before their time.
