An inspector from the Iowa Department of Agriculture will be visiting Luther College in the near future.
Decorah residents Steve Mc Cargar has filed a complaint with the state agency, contending the Memorial Day weekend application of lawn herbicidce was done when winds were too strong.
Iowa Department of Agriculture spokesperson Dustin Vande Hoef says, as is true with all such complaints, an on-site visit will be done at Luther College. Vande Hoef says the Department of Agriculture inspector will take soil samples and other samples to determine whether herbicide drifted to areas where it should have been.
