This is Emergency Medical Services Week

The Winneshiek County EMS Association is recognizing National EMS Week this week,

There are 76 EMS providers in Winneshiek County.  67 of those 76 live in Winneshiek County.  25 of the 76 providers are also members of volunteer fire departments.

Winneshiek County residents are served by three ambulance services--Frankville EMS/Ambulance and Ossian Ambulance, which are staffed by volunteers, and the Winneshiek Medical Center Ambulance Service, which staffs paramedics 24/7. 

Other ambulance services in Harmony, Mabel, Spring Grove, Cresco, Postville and Northeast Iowa Ambulance also provide ambulance services to county residents.
