Decorah school officials want parents to complete Power School single log-on sign-up registration

Decorah School District Director of Technology Kurt DeVore is giving parents a reminder to sign up for the single log-on feature of their Power School account.  The on-line registration will be up and running by mid-July.  The registration is intended to reduce the use of paper and to help save time for parents.

But the benefits will come only if parents complete the single log-in account set-up before classes begin this fall.  Despite sending information home with students, Decorah school officials haven't gotten the participation they hoped for.  DeVore says close to 75 percent of parents haven't registered for Power School accounts so far.

If parents don't sign up for Power School, registration will take longer in person.  If parents didn't receive the information about the sign-up process, they should contact the schools their kids attend.
