Members of the Decorah Planning & Zoning Commission have decided to hold a public hearing in June to take testimony on the zoning of property within the Riverwalk subdivision.
15 nearby property owners have presented a petition to the City of Decorah which calls for changing the zoning of the property to a more restrictive category.
On Monday night the Planning & Zoning Commission voted 5-2 in favor of holding a public hearing on the question on June 11th. The two dissenting votes came from Brian Cook and John Moeller, who expressed concerns that they did not know the exact proposal the Commission was being asked to consider.
