Hospital board prepares response to State Auditor's Office

The Winneshiek Medical Center Board of Trustees has prepared an answer to the State of Iowa's Auditor's Office. The state agency has questioned the hospital board about possible violations of the state's Open Meetings Law.
Hospital board members met in closed session with their attorney for 50 minutes on Wednesday night. They have a deadline of Monday, May 21st to prepare an answer to the state.
The Auditor's Office will issue a ruling in the case after receiving the hospital board's response.
