The Decorah community is rallying behind a veteran who deployed with the 322nd Engineering Company to Afghanistan and has now learned he has liver cancer.

There will be a benefit June 2nd in Decorah to raise money for the medical expenses of Specialist Brad Foreman of Ann Arbor, Michigan.  The Wounded Warrior Project will be paying the travel expenses of Foreman and his family to come to Decorah June 2nd, when other members of the 322nd Engineering unit will be in Decorah.

The American Legion and other veterans groups will hold a silent and live auction at the VFW Club during the evening of June 2nd.  Donations to the auctions may be dropped off at the VFW on Fridays.

Plans are also being made for other fundraising events on June 2nd.  Further details will be announced in the near future.
