Teresa Procter of Decorah has been selected to participate in the three-week "CoOPERAtive Program" at Westminster Choir College in Princeton, New Jersey, in July.
This auditioned program includes private coaching, classes on diction and language, performance technique, and operatic style.
This summer the CoOPERAtive young artists will make their Philadelphia debut in recital with the organization, Lyric Fest. At the conclusion of the program they will perform in recital in Philadelphia with pianists J.J. Penna, Erika Switzer and Michelle Beaton.
Procter can also be seen as Dorabella in the upcoming Luther College opera production on Friday, May 4 at 7:30. The opera is performed at the Center for Faith and Life and is directed by David Judisch.
Teresa Procter is a student of Ed Andereck and Jessica Paul. She will be a 2012 graduate of Luther College with a vocal performance major and management minor. She plans to attend The Shepherd School of Music at Rice University in Houston, Texas to continue her study.
