Aase Haugen Homes, Inc says it is saving over $8,000 a year in electricity payments because of facility-wide lighting improvements.
The home received a building performance energy audit through the WinneshiekEnergy District and Black Hills. The energy analysis recommended a number of changes, with a combined payback of four years.
Just installing new ballasts into existing fixtures helped Aase Haugen save approximately 30 percent of its energy costs. After installing the new ballasts, Aase Haugen is now looking closely at other recommendations from the energy audit and will prioritize their next steps.
