Decorah HS student does well at math competition

A Decorah High School student, Lee Rollins, has qualified to compete in the 2012 State Great Plains Math League Competition.  Students qualify for state by scoring well at competitions held on Saturdays throughout the school year.  This competition has students answering a variety of math problems, some in multiple choice form and some in short answer form, while working individually for some portions and as a team of three for others.

Lee is the son of Terry and Joanie Rollins of Decorah.

Decorah High School math teacher Allysen Lovstuen was the faculty sponsor of this activity, with assistance from Rhonda Thompson and Janelle Keune.
