Decorah Fire Department called to pickup truck fire

Decorah firefighters were called out to the roadway near the Bernadine Meade property at 2933 Middle Hesper Road around 4:00 Saturday afternoon.

When they arrived, a 1995 Dodge 1500 pickup was engulfed in fire.  Decorah firefighters brought the blaze under control in 10 minutes.  The pickup was considered a total loss.  

There were no injuries reported.   The cause of the fire is considered accidental in nature.  

Assisting the fire department was the Winneshiek County Sheriff Office and Dons Towing.
