Decorah resident Nathan Matter says he will be leasing the Armory courtyard for the summer season to open a temporary seasonal outdoor bar.

Matter plans to call the business "The Courtyard."  It will be a seasonal outdoor bar focusing on craft beer.  He says he would like to eventually add an outdoor-food component to the business, but for now he is concentrating on getting the beer and wine side of the business started.

On Monday night the Decorah City Council granted Matter a new beer and wine liquor license.
