City of Decorah officials say they want to be able to get as much information to the public as possible about the upcoming Short Street project.
City officials are working on regular e-mails, as well as website news as ways to keep the public informed. They will also hold face-to-face meetings every other week to provide city residents an opportunity to meet with city officials to discuss the latest Short Street developments in an informal meeting environment. The first such meeting has been tentatively scheduled for May 10th.
Bids on the project are due by noon Friday, May 4th. The bids will be opened at 1:30 p.m. The Decorah City Council on May 7th will consider the bids received and consider awarding a contract for the project.
